PT Angkasa Pura I Balikpapan Conducted The Runway Safety Team Activity

BALIKPAPAN - In order to improve aviation safety at the Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Sepinggan International Airport, PT. Angkasa Pura I (Persero) Sepinggan conducted Runway Safety Team (14 - 09-2016) in Kahayan Meeting Room. The event was attended by the Airport Authority of Region VII Balikpapan, Perum LPPNPI, BMKG, Internal of PT Angkasa Pura I Sepinggan, Airlines and Ground Handling.

Basic Implementation of Runway Safety Team:

  1. Circular of the Director General of Civil Aviation Number: SE.013 Year 2012 on the Implementation of Runway Safety Program and the establishment of Runway Safety Team;
  2. General Manager Decree No. SKEP.227 / OM.04 / 2015 / GM.BPN on the Establishment of the Working Group Runway Safety Team at airport Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Sepinggan.

“Today we carry out a coordination meeting of Runway Safety Team with the aim to coordinate and discuss things that do not correspond on the side of the air at the Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Airport Sepinggan” said Irwan Salampessy theSMS, QM & CS Department Head of PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) Sepinggan in the opening event.

The material of this activity, presented by Herdanu Sri Novanto, Safety Health Environment Section Head of PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) Sepinggan.

A coordination meeting was held as a communication medium and a solution to the hazard and the constraints on the side of the air so that it can anticipate joint measures to overcome it.

In activities, Safety Health Environment Section Head, Herdanu Sri Novanto reminiscent of the Internal PT. Angkasa Pura I (Persero) and Stake Holder operating on the air side to always use personal protective equipment (PPE) especially earmuffs/earplug to improve occupational safety and health culture at Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Sepinggan Airport.

Coordination Meeting of Runway Safety Team run interactively, at the end of the event, the SMS, QM & CS Department Head of PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) Sepinggan, Irwan Salampessy said“the activity will be routinely implemented, to improve the safety of flight operations at the Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Sepinggan International Airport” as closing.
